Residential Design
Your home has an incredibly significant impact on your mood, your productivity, your family, your ability to relax, and your health.
Home is an expression of one's personal style and represents who you are, influences the way other people see you, and affects the way you see yourself. Beyond functionality and visual appeal, it should make sense for the way you live, and, serve as a catalyst for an optimistic quality of life. When a family member or friend walks in the door, they should feel love. When you lay your head down to sleep at night or kick your feet up on the footstool, you should feel at peace.
We believe in the power of place.
That's why we strive to elevate the design process by sincerely getting to understand our client's functional needs, sense of style, likes & dislikes, stressors, professional life, goals, personal values and more, in order to fully grasp the home-lifestyle that they truly desire.
But we don't just look to the homeowner for all the answers. From the start, we study a site's views, climactic conditions, existing structures, utilities, vegetation and more to ensure the resulting design is harmoniously interwoven with its surrounding environment. We’ll discuss the needs of all members of the household (don't forget Sparky!) as well as visitors while keeping mindful consideration for the neighbors whom you may be sharing a view or property line with for years to come.
We research the local zoning regulations and limitations, building code requirements, analyze area maps and review historical property documents to determine feasibility from a technical and legal perspective. And of course, we will sit down to comfortably discuss your budget and any other limitations right from the start. All this information helps us offer sensible advice and recommendations so you can make sound decisions about the design and construction of your new home.
Our firm places the utmost value on honest, open communication and integrity. We believe that the key to a project's success happens through a collective approach - one where all parties (homeowner, builder, engineer, or other industry professionals) have a common goal and an alliance of trust.
